Intercare Tygervalley Sub-Acute Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Bellville, seeks an ambitious, talented, goal-driven and self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of Unit Manager. The purpose of the position is to co-ordinate all the functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of quality of patient care, excellent service to doctors, visitors and support services in a cost effective manner as well as motivating, supporting and optimising staff performance and education so that an optimum contribution is made to the successful functioning of the unit.

• Maintain effective leadership & management of staff
• Cost effective management of productivity and efficiency
• Maintain legal, ethical and scientific nursing intervention
• Ensure patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes
• Achieve occupancy levels through relationship management with members of the professional team

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in General Nursing / BCur Degree
• Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse
• At least 3 years’ experience in a senior or shift leader role
• Previous experience within a Sub-Acute environment will be advantageous
• Computer literacy is essential
• Excellent clinical nursing skills, ability to lead subordinates to achieve objectives, conflict  management, performance orientation and teamwork
